Will stoats live in the same place every year?

Will the Irish stoat live in the same place every year, because before there were lots of them near my house but my mom or dad haven't seen them for a few years.I have never seen them but hope too as they are my favourite animal.And what is the best time of day for for them to be out, I know they are nocturnal in winter and diurnal in summer, so what time would they be out at in summer?And what is there habitat, would be farmland or woodland?And what time of year would they give birth?Please help!
