Say I tried to take something from rite aid but put it back can I get in trouble ?

So me and two friends went to rite aid ... I wanted a head band but didnt wanna pay ... so I took it out the pack and put it in my bad ... But then I took it out and say it all on the each ... Then I went back and put it somewhere else cuz I didn't wanna get in trouble but on the way out the clerk asked if we droped the broken pack ... I felt really guilty and thats why I put it back... I took apart my whole bag ... To show her ... There was also a Security person there ... They let us leave but is there a chance they willl look back on the tape and come get me even though I out it back ?
