Does the rest of the world play sports?

ok...so i live in my little american bubble and i was just wondering if areas like the germany, UK, china, japan, any other countries in the world play organized sports like we have in america? i mean, i know they play sports lol but like american Football, Basketball, Baseball, do they have orginized leagues like the US does? ...i was wondering because players like yao ming, or pau gasol come from other countries, why dont they play out there? just more money for the sports here?
