Can you buy land within woodlands and live on it in a campervan/motorhome?

Come to the United States and you can do pretty much anything as long as you pay your taxes. You could probably get a house in the mid-south that has a large enough plot to have a small farm. There's tons of land in Texas or Oklahoma.
